1. "I used to think my staff was motivated by money, but the most important thing for creative people is the sense that they're learning". -Murakami
2. I find it kind of ridiculous that Murakami doesn't know how to use Illustrator. It sort of reminds me of the times I have to show my dad stuff on the internet, except my dad isn't a world renowned artist.
3. "Murakami's bedroom didn't look much like a bedroom at all". Granted that he has assistants it's nice to know that he still sleeps like an art student.
4. "I threw out my general life so I can make concentration for my job. You maybe expecting more romantic story"? A job as an artist is 24/7, granted 50 percent of that is mental, 25 is the actual work and the other 25 is mixing and mingling with people, it's such a fine craft. Athletes are at the peak of fitness because they are getting paid to do it. Artists need to perfect their craft so they can get paid to do it.
5. "By the time the design is sent to the painting studio for execution, there is little room for interpretation". You got the blueprint, now don't go and fuck shit up.
